Western Tv-Movie released here as Double-Video Box-Set.Based on 2 novels by Louis L'Amour (who incidentally provides the introduction to the story), it's the story of the Sackett brothers, Tell (Sam Elliott - Road House; Tombstone; We Were Soldiers), Orrin (Tom Selleck - High Road to China; Three Men and a Baby; Tv's - Magnum) & Tye (Jeff Osterhage - Tv's- The Shadow Riders; Dragnet) who head westward into the wild untamed territory of New Mexico in search of adventure and fortune.Whilst Tye and eventually Orrin join up with a cattle drive, Tell prospects for gold in the high country. Each man is keen to make it on their own, but when the going gets tough, they must eventually stand together, guns blazing, if they are to survive. Running 187 minutes, this is filled with a host of veteran stars including Glenn Ford - Gilda; Blackboard Jungle; 3:10 to Yuma) & Ben Johnson (Major Dundee; The Wild Bunch; The Last Picture Show), as well as several very familiar western faces in the supporting cast.
